Derian Hatcher Drafted in the 1st round, 8th overall, by the Minnisota North Stars in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Derian played his first 13 seasons with the North Stars/Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings (1991-92 through 2003-04). He played his first 12 seasons with the Minnesota/Dallas franchise (1991-92 through 2002-03) and ranks third on the team’s All-Time List in games played (827) and penalty minutes (1,380). Derian was a member of Dallas’ 1999 Stanley Cup Championship team and became the first American-born player to Captain a Stanley Cup Champion.

Derian was the Flyers' nominee for Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy and led the team in hits (180, 23rd in the NHL) & blocked shots (162, tied for 19th in the NHL)...During the game vs. NY Islanders on April 7 was his 1,000th career NHL game (218th player in NHL history to reach milestone).
International Career: Played for Team USA at 1996 World Cup of Hockey and at 1998 Winter Olympic Games…Was a member of U.S. National Team at the 1993 World Championships in Germany.
